Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 13 March, 2008 : - -The alarm bells went off once again last week for another cyclone swell along the east coast of Africa, with the maps showing a heavy monster by the name of Jokwe tracking north from Mozambique. The signs were all there that another ominous East swell would smack Durban’s beachfront overnight on Wednesday and, like clockwork, the swell arrived with pinpoint precision.

This morning, Thursday 13 March, saw booming 6-8 foot sets rocking the Piers with a lot of carnage going down while Jason Ribbink, Wok Wright, Twiggy and Davey Weare dominated the show. A crew of other usual suspects were also on it at New Pier, giving it horns with loads of barrels and beatings on the heavy bank.
